Cold & Wood Pressed Flaxseed Oil 100ml

Cold and wood-pressed flaxseed oil with a mild, nutty taste for the kitchen and for hair and skin routines.

Our Flaxseed Oil is extracted using traditional wooden pressing, with no chemicals, additives or preservatives, and it's edible. It has a light, nutty, slightly earthy flavour and is best used cold, straight from the bottle, rather than heated.

How to use it

In the kitchen

• Salad dressings: Whisk with lemon juice or vinegar and a pinch of salt for a light dressing.
• Finishing oil: Drizzle over dal, curries, soups, roasted vegetables or rice just before serving, or stir it into curd.
• Use it cold: Flaxseed oil isn't suited to cooking or frying, as heat changes its flavour.

For hair and skin

• Hair oiling: Mix with coconut, almond or sesame oil, massage into the scalp and lengths, leave for 1–2 hours or overnight, then shampoo well.
• Dry skin: Warm a few drops between your palms and press into elbows, heels and cuticles.

Allergen and safety guidance

Flaxseed oil is pressed from flax seeds. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have any allergy concerns, check with your doctor before using it in food.

For skin and hair, patch test on a small area 24 hours before first use and stop if irritation occurs. Avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

Keep tightly closed in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight, and refrigerate after opening where possible. Flaxseed oil is delicate and can turn bitter if it's kept warm or in the light, so use it within a few weeks of opening for the best flavour.
