Our Birista Fried Onions bring that deep, sweet, caramelised onion flavour and crunch to your cooking without the time and mess of frying onions yourself. They're the secret to a proper biryani, and just as good in curries, kormas and as a crunchy garnish.

How to use it

• Biryani: Mix a handful into the meat or vegetable marinade, then layer more between the rice and sprinkle on top before dum cooking.
• Curries and korma: Crush and stir into gravies for richness and body, or blend with yoghurt and nuts for a korma base.
• Garnish: Scatter over pulao, dal, soups, salads, burgers and sandwiches.
• Beyond Indian: Use on Middle Eastern mujadara, Asian noodles or fried rice.
